BLACKSMITHING INTRO
On the Blacksmithing INTRO Session, you choose what you want to make. We have an impressive range of projects available from bottle openers, key rings and pendants to love hearts, snails and ginko leaves to list afew. Theres something for everyone with different techniques and varying forms.
You will learn to physically control the fire and work at the forge and anvil, gaining hands-on experience. Additionally, you will be guided through essential metallurgy concepts and introduced to basic blacksmithing techniques, building a solid foundation in the craft.
These workshops offer an excellent introduction to the forge, providing hands-on experience with traditional blacksmithing techniques. The primary goal is for each participant to leave the session with their own unique handmade creation, crafted under expert guidance.
The sessions are three hours long, enough time to make and finish your piece. There is no rush and you keep all your work and learn how to finish and care for your projects. Classes are small, with up to six people per session or can be booked as a private event. This is a practical experience, so be prepared to get your hands dirty. However there is nothing to worry about and an expert blacksmith will be there to guide you every step of the way.
